Body Zone technology is designed to accomodate the varying needs of the different parts of the body. On the upper side of the bag, a highly breathable fabric is used allowing generated moisture to dissipate outwards. To the under side of the bag, as well as to the head and foot areas, a thin breathable acrylic layer, only a few hundredth millimeters thick, is applied to prevent moisture from entering from the ground or damp tent walls. A further reflective zone is located at the sensitive kidney area, keeping this region warm and protected as well. The Ice Peak Expedition 220 features a thermal collar that functions like an intergrated vest to retain body heat and prevent cold drafts. Quality 2 way zips that don't snag the outer or inner fabrics are generously covered to prevent cold drafts. The Ice Peak Expedition features a 90cm long side zipper and an opposite side short zipper, this allows you to sit up in the bag whilst cooking or preparing meals etc.
