I have only used this sleeping mat in two occasions since buying it a week ago. One night was in the Kiwi bush in the middle of the South Island in April at a campsite beside the river in a very cold night and tucked up in my sleeping bag on top in my Quest Mat I slept like a baby. And that is coming from somebody that wakes up all night long. Where I was staying, there were wild Red Deer in the area and the males were roaring during the night and close and I even slept through most of that. The second occasion was at the beach on the Catlins Coast, which was a bit warmer but still chilly. Once again I got tucked in to my sleeping bag and off i went into slumberland. I woke feeling fresh and ready to charge into the day ahead. I can't rate this sleeping mat high enough, it is noiseless, super comfortable and warm with not an ounce of cold coming up from the ground. The only thing to watch for is that I bought a Dreamer 75 and I probably could have for away with a 55 or 65. The 75 is for a bigger person and I have a lot of excess room on the mat. I only sleep in a 1 person tent and there is no room for anything else on the tent floor. But my clothes sitting on the mat beside me do stay warm and dry by not being on the floor, also i keep my clothes in a dry-bag in the vestibule outside the tent anyway so its not a huge deal. It is no good for hiking as it is too bulky but perfect when driving to your campsite and tenting near your vehicle. Sweet dreams!

We camp where there's always a chance of gale force winds and torrential rains. We've lost four gazebos to the wind, twisted and creased frames, torn covers, etc. So, I risked paying a bit more for this gazebo, hoping that it might survive at least one season in the Coromandel. Well, the winds came and the rains poured, and all it did was blow to one side and wait for me to come out of the tent, go "boop, boop" to push the side back into position and pop the top up and she was right as rain again. I could have cried. It was so impressive that my camping mates, decided they might get one and give it a go. Money well spent!

Bought for my daughters (2&4) as I wanted matching sleeping bags. These are so soft and have lots of zip configurations . I even slept in one one night and it was reassuring to know how warm my girls were. Side note-if you want a pillow, the Kmart toddler pillows fit nicely in the pillow pocket

Swapped the Oztrail version for this one as we weren’t happy with the Oztrail design (we have lots of other Oztrail branded gear). This was a great option for our 14 year old son. Great head room, and withstood the foul wind and rain we dealt with.

Solid table where everything seems to be just in the right place.

Quest

Quest left their corporate gigs with the big-name outdoor brands and started a boutique company with a focus on elevating the camper’s experience, a company they could be proud of. As a privately owned, founder-led company, they work fast and respond to their customers’ needs without anything getting in their way. They invest their time in quality engineered features, customer support, and great design.

Before a single product was built or even a sketch was drawn, Quest needed to see first hand how people use their gear and what it is they want from it. To understand this, Quest travelled the country to learn from them. They camped with them, cooked with them, roasted marshmallows around the fire with them, all to understand what’s most meaningful to them in the outdoor places that they love the most.

Quest discovered a few things that fundamentally shifted their thinking. They learned that an outdoor escape doesn’t have to be at the end of a hardcore 4×4 bush track. It can be a rooftop barbecue, a picnic in the park or a weekend away with friends at your favourite campsite. They discovered that good food and a relaxing drink are always at the centre of these adventures, but above all, they learned that the gathering is the activity. Quest believe that any time outdoors is better than none, and that you don’t have to be a seasoned hardcore camper to get out there and explore. Quest design and build products for not only all the “outdoorsy” people out there but also for all the “outsidesy” people as well.
