Refunds & Returns

Our Policy

EquipOutdoors has a 30 day return right of return policy on all product sold via this website. The 30 day period begins from the date of purchase. Items returned within this time frame can either be exchanged, upgraded, held as a store credit or refunded, the choice is yours. Items can be exchanged for any product of the same value (exchanged) or used as a credit towards an item with a higher value (upgraded) If an item is exchanged for an item of a lesser value a credit will be given. Refunds will only be given to the same credit card or account as the items were originally charged. Refunds held as a store credit will be held against the purchasers account for future use.

NB: All refunds are subject to a credit processing fee of up to 5% of the sale price of the goods including any delivery costs.
No fee will be deducted where the goods are being returned due to being faulty or being exchanged for goods of the same or higher value.

Freight charges are not creditable. It is the customer’s responsibility to freight the item(s) back to EquipOutdoors. A refund will only be given or replacement items sent on the safe arrival of the returned items back to EquipOutdoors. The item(s) must be returned in ‘as new’ unused condition complete with all packaging, ticketing and labelling. The item(s) shall remain the property of the purchaser until returned to EquipOutdoors. A freight charge will apply for the shipment of any new item(s) to the customer. A quote for return shipping will be given prior to dispatch.

NB: Refunds for membership orders or orders shipped on a freight free basis via promotion.

Where an item/s are returned for a refund, if the item/s were originally shipped on a freight free basis EquipOutdoors reserves the right to deduct a handling charge from the refund. The handling charge is calculated based on what the shipping cost would have been as per our website if ordered as a non-member or if no freight free promotion was in effect.

Please contact us prior to returning the item(s) so we can discuss the options for both the product you wish to replace and any applicable freight charges or deductions.

Equip+ Loyalty Points credits when used in the purchase of product

Where a product was purchased using Equip+ Loyalty points and subsequently returned for a full or partial refund, any points that were redeemed during the initial purchase will be refunded back as points to the Equip+ members account. If the points are unable to be returned to the members account the value of the points redeemed will be deducted from the credited amount.

Refunds via PayPal & fees deducted

Any purchase that is returned to us for a refund that was purchased using PayPal as the payment method will have the PayPal merchant fee incurred by us deducted from the refund. This is currently 3.5 % of the purchase price of the goods including any delivery charges. We will advise you of the deduction cost at the time prior to the processing of your refund back via PayPal.
Fees will not be deducted where the goods are being returned due to being faulty or being exchanged for goods of the same or higher value.

Warranties & Limited Guarantees

All the products we sell come with a manufacturers warranty unless they are a used item or otherwise stated as ‘no warranty applies' Some products have a specified time guarantee. Items with this type of guarantee usually state the time period on the website, product information card or docket. Some products are sold with a ‘lifetime’ guarantee, guaranteeing that the item will stand up to the use for which it was designed for. This type of warranty or guarantee does not cover damage caused by improper care, accidents or the natural breakdown of the materials over time. This type of warranty or guarantee covers material, design and production faults. The warranty commences the day of purchase.
Please keep your sales dockets for warranty purposes. Warranties will not be honoured without proper proof of purchase. The warranty on the item(s) only covers the original owner. EquipOutdoors at our own discretion, reserve the right to repair or replace any item found to be defective.
Material, design or production faults are rare. If you find your product to be defective please contact us. Some products may be covered by an International warranty agreement. In this case we may refer you to a local retailer or distributor. In cases where the item needs to be returned to us we will arrange either the freight or an agreed amount for freight reimbursement. Contact us before sending/returning any item(s)

NB: Freight reimbursement will only be given by prior arrangement.

In the event or case of damage to an item due to accident or improper care, we can arrange to have the item(s) repaired at a reasonable charge. Freight will be the responsibility of the customer. A quote including return freight will be given.

30 or 90 Day Limited Guarantees - Applicable to X Demo & Factory Seconds

Where product is sold with a 30 or 90 day guarantee and is an X Demo (Product that has been used for demonstration purposes) or a Factory Second (Product that has minor faults present from the factory new or goods that have been returned to the manufacturer with faults that have been rectified by the manufacturer) the following shall apply:
EquipOutdoors guarantees this product for the limited period stated. The guarantee covers that the product sold is complete and functional but may contain signs of use or wear. In the case of factory seconds, products may also have had repairs to remedy any faults or defects found at the time of original sale. In some cases minor defects may still be present but these defects are not considered to be detrimental to the performance of the product, eg: Colour variation, fabric blemishes, stitching repairs etc.
The product is only covered for normal use for the limited period. Goods sold with a limited period guarantee are considered to be used goods and are therefore no longer covered by the manufacturer’s warranty period. No claim can be made under the manufacturer’s warranty provision. Any claim or remedy must be sought from EquipOutdoors within the stated period that the guarantee covers. All guarantees commence from the day of purchase. Any claim within the guarantee period must be supported by a proof of purchase receipt from EquipOutdoors.

X Demo & Factory second supplied goods are significantly reduced in price to compensate the purchaser for the wear and tear, faults and blemishes. The purchaser acknowledges this fact and accepts that the price is compensation for any wear and tear, defects or faults with the product at time of sale and that no manufacturer’s warranty applies. Compensation by way of reduction in price therefore also serves to cover any cost of remedy the consumer may experience in the future with the goods outside the guarantee or manufacturer’s warranty period. This does not limit your rights in any way under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993.

Sales Dockets

A sales docket is included with all orders or in the case of the order been sent direct from our supplier it will be emailed to you. Please retain this as proof of your purchase. Proof of purchase is required when exchanging or returning any product(s) and will be required for any warranty claims.
