EquipOutdoors Shipping Policy

At EquipOutdoors we aim to process and get your order delivered to you as quickly as possible at a fair & reasonable price.
Orders for in stock items received prior to 2.00 pm weekdays are typically dispatched that day.
Orders received over the weekend are processed the following Monday and dispatched accordingly.

Orders shipped within New Zealand

For local orders within New Zealand sent from our distribution centre, CourierPost is our choice of carrier. All deliveries are sent on a ‘Signature Required' basis. If you do not require a signature, select the “signature not required on delivery” option at the checkout.
NB: Only select this option if you feel it is safe and secure for your goods to be left by the delivery driver. EquipOutdoors or the delivery company do not take any responsibility for lost or missing parcels if they are delivered on a signature not required basis.

Dispatch & Estimated Shipping Times - We are currenty experiencing delays with delivery of parcels due to COVID-19 Level 3.

Our current revised delivery target time frames are below. Please note, these target timeframes will improve as the backlog of freight is cleared.

  • North Island delivery target 3-5 business days from time of dispatch.
  • South Island delivery target 8-10 business days from time of dispatch.

NB: Deliveries to RD addresses may take an additional 1-2 business days from time of dispatch.

Large / heavy or bulky items such as large tents or dimensionally long items will be sent via Mainfreight road transport. Due to the size / weight and nature of these products, delivery can take a little longer but is usually 3-5 days from when we dispatch the product. In some remote areas across New Zealand your goods may have to collected from the nearest delivery company freight depot.

Additional freight charges apply for non-standard items eg: Dangerous goods or for deliveries to non-standard addresses or unusual locations. Saturday deliveries or deliveries outside normal delivery hours also attract an additional charge.

Sorry, but we not currently shipping an orders to international destinations due to the COVID-19 Pandemic. The following information regarding international shipping is not in effect until the COVID-19 Pandemic is over.

Currently our website accepts overseas orders shipping to Australia, South Pacific, East Asia, United States, South America, Canada, UK & Europe (some countries excluded)
International customers outside these regions can contact us directly via email for a shipping quote to their destination.
Available Delivery Options for International Orders

New Zealand Post International Courier:

NB: Shipping charges for bulky items/orders over 30kg will be calculated manually. We will contact you to confirm the actual shipping charge prior to your order being processed.

Important Insurance & Tracking information:

  • Orders sent via International Courier can be tracked and are insured up to the value of NZ$2000.00.

Prohibited & Restricted items. 

It is your responsibility to ensure that the goods you have ordered can be sent from New Zealand and also are able to be imported into your destination country. Some items maybe prohibited and cannot be imported into your destination country, and some require approval to import. EquipOutdoors will not be held responsible for determining if the goods you have ordered are prohibited or restricted. EquipOutdoors will also not be liable for any costs incurred for items that are found to be prohibited or restricted and that are subsequently destroyed or returned to us.

Destination country border & clearance charges

Important: Orders being delivered outside of New Zealand may attract duties, taxes or charges specific to the destination country. Charges imposed at the destination border are outside our control. EquipOutdoors will not be held liable for any or subsequent charges incurred at the destination border should they arise. 

We strongly advise you research your local destinatiion regulations relating to this before placing your order.

Membership Shipping Terms & Conditions

EquipOutdoors members receive free delivery on all items when you spend $150.00 or more in a single online transaction excluding deliveries of Dangerous goods items e.g. Gas cannisters, aerosol can or liquid fuel products etc. Additional freight charges may also apply for non-standard items or for deliveries to non-standard addresses or unusual locations. Saturday deliveries or deliveries outside normal delivery hours will also attract a delivery charge.

All membership free deliveries are sent on a non-urgent basis. Urgent deliveries may attract a delivery charge. If your order is urgent, please let us know and we will contact you to confirm the delivery charge prior to shipping your order.

Membership Free shipping is not applicable for orders to overseas delivery addresses. If your delivery address is outside of New Zealand shipping charges will still apply to your order.

NB: Refunds for membership orders shipped on a freight free basis.

Where an item/s are returned for a refund by a member, if the item/s were originally shipped on a freight free basis EquipOutdoors reserves the right to deduct a handling charge from the refund. The handling charge is calculated based on what the shipping cost would have been as per our website if ordered as a non-member. We will confirm this amount with you prior to deducting it from the refund.

Please contact us prior to returning the item(s) so we can discuss the options for both the product you wish to replace and any applicable freight charges or deductions.

Track & Trace

For all orders you will receive a Track & Trace reference via email when your item is processed for dispatch. You can login into your account to track your delivery or you can access the tracking details for your order directly from our homepage footer under Service, Track Order

Statutory holidays, Peak season periods & Business days

Dispatch and delivery times will be impacted by statutory holidays and peak seasonal periods. Courier companies do not operate on statutory holiday days. During peak seasonal periods due to the large volume of parcels being sent within the courier networks, deliveries may be slightly delayed. However, we will still do our best to process and dispatch your order as quickly as we can.
Business days are classed as Monday – Friday and exclude weekends & statutory holiday days.
