Well made lantern with lots of features including 3x brightness levels and each is dimable. Also, doubles as a power bank.

East to put up on my own and fast to take down again, I have been using this all the time. Sturdy with the sand pegs and great sun protection. Light to carry and great for two people plus Bags and gear. This was well packaged when it arrived and it was sent really quickly as well. Very happy

Aprox 4 minutes to Boil, , Which is good considering its 900-1100 Watt, Great for 2 or 3 Cups and is ideal for a Caravan or Motor home.

This light is super bright on its high setting and very dull on its low setting (great for power saving and for those situations where you need dim light cause you want to save your eyes). I do a lot of hunting and general outdoors activities. I find the H15R ticks just about all the boxes. I love the dimming dial, very useful to be able to get the light to just the brightness you need. There is quite a brightness difference between the dull lowest setting and the next step up on the dial. From there, it's more consistent increments of brightness up to the brightest setting. The one thing that goes against this light in my opinion, is that the zoom is pretty average (to be generous). I owned one of the old H14s with the blue straps, it's zoom was amazing. Even the H14.2 that replaced it was also very good for zoom. Led Lenser have gone backwards in their focus design on the modern models in my opinion. Even when the H15R is fully zoomed in, it's still a very broad beam. I currently have an H15R, H7 and MH8. The H7 is the oldest one, and has the best zoom by far. This light has a well designed waterproof battery compartment and recharges via magnetic connections. I do not hesitate using it in the rain. It does NOT accommodate AA batteries as some of the Led Lenser range do. For those multi day trips away from power, a high capacity solar power bank or suchlike is suitable for charging the light. The battery lasts very well though, so unless you're flat out using it on full beam all the time, you'll get multiple days out of it anyway. I've found it very good for possum hunting. Where my mates who have H14.2s, are busy swapping batteries out every few hours, I'm fully powered the whole time (5hr hunts). This light is also really bright even when the battery is low. The battery indicator is excellent. Would I recommend it? Yes, definitely. However, for someone who needs that good zoom for long range focus, I would not suggest this light.

I have never owned or used a Leatherman product so I did a lot of research before I decided on the Surge. The Wave gets a lot of love from users, particularly those that carry them on a belt or pocket. I'm not that kind of person. I have large hands, so the size was never going to be an issue.
I noticed that a lot of YouTube reviewers who test a lot of EDC's consider the Surge as their favourite. It may be heavier and bit larger but every tool it has is that much sturdier. I like the detachable saw or file that can use 3rd party saw blades. I like that every tool locks.
I also like the large sturdy scissors that are on one of the four outer slots. I also bought the bit driver set and the ratchet driver. The Surge is my "go to" tool for most everyday tasks.
