Christmas Gift Ideas
Choose a gift for the way they explore
The gift they’ll use most is the one that fits their plans. A first-time camper might appreciate a campsite staple, while a keen tramper values something light that earns its place in their pack. If you don’t know what gear they already own, avoid anything that depends on precise sizing or compatibility.
Who are you buying for?
For a new camper
Stick to practical basics useful on any first trip, like a camp light or kitchen utensil. Leave the more technical additions to them.
For a regular tramper
When everything goes in a pack, weight and space matter. Look for compact gear that fits in with their existing kit.
For family days out
Think of gear they can use together at the campsite, beach or picnic spot. Check how many people it suits and whether it’s practical to carry and pack away.
Useful gifts for under $100
You don’t need to buy big-ticket gear to give them something they’ll take outdoors. Think a camp light for evenings under canvas, a mug or drink bottle for early starts, or a folding chair for long afternoons at camp. Small additions like these can earn a regular place in their kit.
Gift buying questions
What is a useful camping gift under $100?
A camp light is handy for someone building their first kit. For a camper who has the basics, consider a mug, camp-kitchen extra or folding chair, depending on how they travel.

What if I don’t know their gear size?
Avoid guessing on clothing, packs or sleeping bags; choose indispensable gear that suits any adventure. If you’re still unsure, an EquipOutdoors gift voucher lets them choose gear that suits them.
When should I order for Christmas delivery?
Order your Christmas gifts early to allow time for dispatch and delivery during the busy holiday period. Rural addresses and large or bulky items need extra time. If you’re unsure whether your order will arrive before Christmas, contact our team before ordering.
