Charged it up and then tested it out - certainly chucks out the light even when coiled up and still it the bag. Next test will be in the field after lockdown.

Great light, batteries seem to last a decent period & light intensity nicely adjustable across the 3 settings. Only downside is the magnet is not glued on very well at all. I bought two to use in a horsefloat & one fell off the wall on the first night & the other fell off the following night. Some decent glue should sort it out though

Saw this while I was in the store and was immediately impressed with the compact size and quality feel of the housing. For what I was looking for - a small lantern to use in camp and especially in the tent, it's spot on! Not overly bright but great for what I need. X4 AA batteries is a bit more than some others use, but that might make it run for longer.
