Having seen the stretcher tent 18months ago I finally took the plunge and bought one to replace my small, compact single bivvy. Being able to completely set up in approx 5 minutes and also being up off the ground is fantastic. Bivvy was good but always at ground level made getting in and out a challenge for me (65 years+), but the stretcher tent so much easier and comfortable (with a little additional mattress) Happily recommend the stretcher tent to anyone as a neat, compact unit. Already got a couple of mates that have purchased for beach fishing and hunting after seeing mine and how easy it was to setup.

Having studied a few of these from different manufacturers, it appears the Oztrail bunks are the most sturdy. Upon arrival, we noticed an assembly defect where one of the side frames had the wrong pole installed, meaning the anti roll frame was unable to be installed. EquipOutdoors sent a replacement part in good time. Thanks for the support.

My initial reluctance to spend so much money on a bed for camping, was instantly dispelled after one night on this bed. So comfy, so easy to set up and loved the lack of roll together that we have had on other air beds. The fact that I could sit on the side without sinking down to floor level was a game changer for me. This bed has now become an 'investment' in the enjoyment of our camping rahter than an expense!!!

I purchased this bed end of last year for my big camping adventure in Dec 2024. The decision to purchase this particular product triggered by the difficulty of my wife to sleep on the floor, she needs something high up. I am happy with the product as it does the job for us. The other real advantages of the bed are easy transport, set up is convenient and the sleep is very comfy. It gives a new outlook to the tent as well. All guys in my camping adventure really admired the bed. Storage is convenient too as all you need is to pack it away and hide inside somewhere in the house. I highly recommend the product if you have any back issue or can't sleep on the floor or on other types of air beds. But two negative points to be aware of. First, it's folding back is a real problem. I had to struggle to fold it back to the original position after use. I have emptied air from the mattress but it does not fold back fully. It is not possible to put the zip back on. I had to work manually by pressing and squeezing the mattress. So difficult to put the zip back on. I mean, to put the bed inside its cover, a lot of hard work is needed. This was a real nightmare. The second concern is that you need a heavy air pump (No experience) or a wall power outlet to make the bed and to fold it back after use. A manual pump will not do the job. Lucky if you have access to a wall power socket which is a real luxury in a remote camp site. You really need something like portable power station (with solar panels to charge the battery) to make the bed and fold it back. This is a real disadvantage of the product as it does not come with a suitable pump and battery storage. Do not decide to buy this product unless you have decided on an effective mechanism (like what I said earlier) to pump air in and take it out. The Goal Zero power station and solar panels (cost about $1,000) is something you should go for if you can afford it. Otherwise, do NOT make investment on this folding bed regardless of its luxury. I have the Yeti 200 power station which is really handy to go with the folding bed. Otherwise, the product is well worthy the investment. I have already used it on 2-3 occasions including a long camping adventure and as an additional bed for my three grand children to sleep on when they visit me.
