Tramping

I can't describe quite how lovely it is to have a beautiful hot chocolate pudding in a situation where you wouldn't expect home cooked comfort. The brownie pieces have a slight crunch to them which is whilst unexpected a very satisfying contrast to the fudgie indulgent pudding. Save it for a night where your dinner doesn't quite hit the spot two or three days into your trip and you will be In sweet sugary heaven, I loved it.

I use it all of my camping trips, the piezo electric igniter works first time every time (if you start the gas flow low) Its spectacularly light and comes in a nice clear plastic hard case (unscrew the gas flow valve half a turn to pack it into the case properly and dont forget that it's partly open!) The stand for your pot or fry pan grabs really well and folds out to a reasonably generous 4" or so with three prongs (i have frequently used a full sized fry pan on it with no problems) and it will easily boil 500ml of water in a few minutes whilst an average size can of butane will easily do so for 2 hours (I have used all of 2 cans over the course of four 3 day fishing trips) Nothing wrong with it (maybe nothing special because ive never owned another, but I like to think I brought quality first time) It was well worth the investment. Remember every gram counts when your pack hiking!

I love these darn eggs so much, I buy a lot of freeze dried meals, but of all my favorites I have brought these the most. Very versatile, satisfying, tasty and filling!

Awesome Hiking Tent Just used this for a week long college tramp in Queen Charlotte Sound and it was brilliant with loads of room for three students with their backpacks in the front entry. Quick and easy to put up and take down and a nice lightweight bundle to carry, it kept everyone dry even with overnight rain. We've tried a number of hiking tents of various brands and the Kiwicamping Ruru is by far the best.
